Most small businesses find out they have a security problem the hard way — their site goes down, their email stops arriving, or a customer tells them Google is flagging them as unsafe.

I watched it happen firsthand a few years ago to a small business in my community. Their website was hacked — not by a movie-style genius, but by automated scripts that crawl the internet nonstop. Overnight, their site was flooded with spam, and within days Google flagged it as unsafe. Customers stopped visiting, phone calls slowed, and the owners had no idea where to turn.

The worst part? They thought the "website package" from their design company was keeping them safe. It wasn't.

That experience opened my eyes. Most small businesses don't have the time, resources, or expertise to keep up with the threats targeting their websites, their email, and their online reputation every single day. And the big IT firms? They rarely understand how a small business actually operates — you're just another account number to them.

Since then, I've built a practice around solving the problems that keep business owners up at night. I've cleaned malware out of hacked WordPress sites, tracked down credit card skimmers hidden in Shopify themes, rebuilt email systems that had gone completely dark, migrated entire hosting environments without a minute of downtime, and helped organizations untangle the DNS and authentication issues that were sending their email straight to spam. I work with clients across the US and internationally — small businesses, nonprofits, consultancies, agencies — anyone whose online presence is too important to leave to chance. I'm ISC2 certified in cybersecurity and ranked in the top 10% of freelancers on Upwork, where most of my clients find me.

For me, this isn't just technical work. When your website goes down or your email stops arriving, real things happen: customers leave, revenue drops, and trust erodes. I take that personally. When you work with me, you're not dealing with a faceless help desk or a rotating cast of technicians. You're talking directly to the person doing the work — someone who will tell you exactly what's wrong, what it takes to fix it, and what it will cost before anything starts.

I built this practice to make the technical side of running a business simple, transparent, and personal. No one-size-fits-all packages, no ticket queues — just real expertise applied to your specific situation. I keep your systems secure, your email delivering, and your website online so you can focus on running your business.
