I didn’t set out to run a cybersecurity business. I set out to help.

A few years ago, I watched a local business here in the Lehigh Valley go through something no small business owner should face. Their website was hacked — not by a movie-style genius, but by automated scripts that crawl the internet nonstop. Overnight, their site was flooded with spam, and within days Google flagged it as unsafe. Customers stopped visiting, phone calls slowed, and the owners had no idea where to turn.

The worst part? They thought their “website package” from a design company was keeping them safe. It wasn’t.

That experience opened my eyes. I realized most small businesses don’t have the time, resources, or expertise to keep up with constant updates and new threats. And the big corporate IT firms? They rarely understand the needs of small businesses — you’re just another account number to them.

Since then, I’ve worked on cybersecurity projects both big and small, including managing security for a website that served millions of visitors every month. Due to confidentiality agreements I can’t share the name, but that work showed me what it takes to keep mission-critical sites safe under constant attack.
